A Titina: Antonietta Fusco in a National Premiere, Tribute to Titina De Filippo
On Friday 8 January 2027, at 9:00 PM, the Casa del Teatro in Faenza hosts the national premiere of “A Titina. Vita nell’arte di un’attrice napoletana” (To Titina: A Neapolitan Actress’s Life in Art), starring Antonietta Fusco, dramaturgy by Antonietta Fusco and Enrica Manni, directed by Alberto Grilli, a Teatro Due Mondi production.
A tribute to Titina De Filippo, stage and revue actress of the first half of the 20th century, a free spirit who in 1939 left her brothers’ company to claim artistic independence, culminating in the test of Filumena Marturano. Alone on stage, a Neapolitan actress tells a life both dramatic and comic, of craft and feeling, effort and sacrifice in the name of that “magnificent and terrible craftswoman called Art”.
