"Watercolors at the Castle": an art workshop for children at the Rocca di Riolo
The evocative setting of the Rocca di Riolo, in the heart of the Faenza Apennines, will be transformed for an afternoon into a large open-air atelier. On Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 4:00 PM, "Watercolors at the Castle" will begin, a creative workshop entirely dedicated to children.
Painting history with the colors of nature
The workshop will guide children through observing the medieval fortress and the surrounding hilly landscape. Using watercolors, brushes, and original natural materials collected directly on site, young artists will be able to portray the towers, courtyards, and meadows of the fortress. Everyone will be free to experiment with nuances, textures, and personal details, unleashing their imagination to create a unique, colorful, and vibrant work.
A stimulating and immersive experience to foster children's manual skills and aesthetic sensibilities, bringing the castle's history into dialogue with the natural beauty of the Faenza Romagna region.
