Associando 2026 in Riolo Terme: a week of solidarity, culture, music and food
From Friday 4 to Thursday 10 September, Riolo Terme comes alive again with «Associando», the festival that brings together the town's local associations for a week of music, food, sport, culture and entertainment for the whole community.
The event has a strong charitable purpose: all proceeds from the activities and lottery ticket sales will go to the Municipal Solidarity Fund, supporting families with minor children facing economic hardship and funding scholarships for middle school students.
Friday 4 September
- 8:30 PM, Teatro Comunale: 2025 scholarship award ceremony.
- 9:00 PM: free screening of the film «Ragazze per sempre», promoted by Pro Loco Riolo Terme and ANPI.
Sunday 6 September
- 5:30 AM – Dawn Walk: a roughly 3+3 km walking route, starting from Parco Pertini toward the Villa Schiavio vineyard near the Laghetto dell'Amore, with live music from the band «Quarto Stato» and breakfast before the walk back.
- 5:30 PM, Rocca courtyard – «Benvenuti!»: a welcome event for new residents.
- 8:00 PM, Corso Matteotti – «Mangiata sociale»: a large outdoor communal dinner organised by Riolo's local associations.
Monday 7 September
- From 7:00 PM, between Parco Pertini and Corso Matteotti – «Il circo delle meraviglie»: an evening of stalls, wandering performers and food stands.
Tuesday 8 September
- 8:30 PM, Piazza Mazzanti – «Letture in... colte»: a meeting with writer Cristiano Cavina to present his new book, in collaboration with the Municipal Library and the Centro Sociale. A book stand with signings and a wine tasting from the Tibé winery will be available.
Wednesday 9 September
- From 7:00 PM, courts on Via Berlinguer 9 – VLSN Sport Fest Preview: a free-entry 2 vs 2 paddleball tournament promoted by Tennis Club Vallesenio, with sports voucher prizes. Registration required at 333.2246484 (Lorenzo).
- From 8:30 PM, Parco Pertini – «Tombholata!»: Auser's traditional bingo night with watermelon and good company.
Thursday 10 September: the closing night
The festival closes at Parco Pertini with the «Multi-ethnic Dinner», a journey through international food traditions. On the menu:
- Dominican Republic: mango and passion fruit juice, cassava croquettes
- Tunisia: vegetarian couscous
- Poland: dumplings with meat sauce
- France: potage Saint Germain soup
- Italy: mini frittata with PGI shallots
- Pakistan: chicken karahi with rice
- Ukraine: nalysnyky with ricotta and raisins
- China: bubble tea
8:00 PM: dinner begins, €20 per person, booking required at 335.6792566 (Francesca) or 333.4679473 (Davide). 9:30 PM: lottery draw with the winning numbers, officially closing the festival.
