Located within the Regional Park of the Vena del Gesso Romagnola, the “Augusto Rinaldi Ceroni” Garden of Herbs in Casola Valsenio presents its calendar of events for September and October 2026.
The programme offers guided walks, hands-on workshops on preparing herbal infusions and teas, days dedicated to herbal traditions, autumn picnics in collaboration with local restaurants, educational open days and activities exploring forgotten fruits.
September 2026 Events Programme
- Aromatic Infusions:
- When: Sunday 13 and 20 September 2026, 10:00 am.
- Description: A guided tour of the Garden to discover medicinal plants for the wellbeing of body and mind. This will be followed by a hands-on workshop on preparing and tasting herbal teas and infusions made with fresh herbs and flowers collected during the walk.
- Cost: €10.00 full price | €5.00 reduced (ages 6–12) | Free (ages 0–5).
- The Healing Garden: Herbs and Folk Traditions:
- When: Sunday 27 September 2026, 10:00 am.
- Description: A guided walk through the heart of the Garden, among scents, colours and stories dedicated to the herbal and traditional uses of medicinal plants and the connection between nature and wellbeing.
- Cost: Free.
October 2026 Events Programme
- Picnic Among the Scents of Autumn:
- When: Sunday 4 October 2026, 11:00 am.
- Description: A guided tour focusing on the history of the Garden and the culinary uses of its plants. This will be followed by an autumn picnic organised in collaboration with restaurants in Casola Valsenio.

- Open Day: Educational Activities for Schools:
- When: Saturday 10 October 2026, 3:30 pm.
- Description: An afternoon presenting the Garden of Herbs' educational programme, dedicated to teachers and school professionals.
- Cost: Free.
- The Forgotten Garden:
- When: Sunday 11 and 18 October 2026, 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
- Description: A guided tour of the garden and arboretum to discover trees bearing forgotten fruits, with the collection of fruit and wild herbs to create a seasonal salad accompanied by a warm herbal tea.
