Activity description
The workshop offers an educational experience that combines ceramics and English language learning thanks to a collaboration with Kids&Us.
Children will create a clay tile using a wooden frame, exploring the concept of texture through everyday objects and references to art and ceramics.
The surface will be decorated with imprints and traces to create material effects.
Each participant will then develop a small three-dimensional clay structure, using extruded clay elements that can be freely shaped: cut, bent, and rolled.
All elements will be attached to the tile using slip, the “glue” of ceramics.
If time allows, children will be invited to describe or give a title to their creation in English.
