CROSS-LOOKING: Photographic Perspectives Between East and West at Palazzo del Podestà

From 29 October to 17 November 2026, Palazzo del Podestà in Faenza hosts “CROSS-LOOKING. Photographic Perspectives Between East and West”, an exhibition produced by the Unione della Romagna Faentina as part of the European project CROSS-LOOKING, co-funded by the EU’s Creative Europe programme. Curated by Antonello Frongia and Matteo Zauli.

The project uses photography to explore cultural relations between East and West, bringing different stories, identities and communities into dialogue. On show is the photographic project “A ritroso” by Andrea Savorani Neri, the project’s creative director, alongside works by Leonardo Bandini, Emma Graziani, Vera Malavolti and Christian Velcich, four young photographers selected by the Unione della Romagna Faentina who took part in the artistic research journey through residencies in Yerevan, Istanbul, Cairo and Rome. A chance to see how photography can cross geographic and cultural borders, challenge stereotypes and open new perspectives for dialogue.
