Di cosa parliamo quando parliamo d'amore: A Film Series on Relationships and Gender Identity

From 6 September to 27 November 2026, the towns of the Unione della Romagna Faentina host "Di cosa parliamo quando parliamo d'amore" (What We Talk About When We Talk About Love), a series of films and documentaries exploring relationships and gender identity, promoted by the local Gender Policy Departments as part of the project "in Unione per la Parità", funded by the Emilia-Romagna Region and curated by the Gender Policy Service - Fe.n.ice Service.

The film programme is organised in collaboration with SOS Donna ODV, Cineclub Raggio Verde, Un secco no APS, the MeTra Centre of the Department of Interpreting and Translation at the University of Bologna, the CTM Centre for the Treatment of Abusers, and Cinema Europa. All screenings are free of charge.

Sunday 6 September – Il piacere è tutto mio

9:15 PM, Arena Borghesi, Viale Stradone 4, Faenza. A 2022 comedy directed by Sophie Hyde, starring Emma Thompson and Daryl McCormack, an intimate and witty reflection on desire, sexuality and self-rediscovery. Commentary by psychologist Chiara Faggiano, "AlCentro" - Cesena.

Friday 25 September – Sorry, Baby

9:00 PM, Teatro Cinema Giardino, Via Fossa 16, Brisighella. A 2025 drama.

Friday 23 October – Carol

9:00 PM, Cinema Senio, Via Roma 46, Casola Valsenio. A 2015 drama directed by Todd Haynes, starring Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, Kyle Chandler, Jake Lacy and Sarah Paulson. Commentary by Anna Falcini, president of "Un secco no" APS, Forlì.

Friday 29 October – Two Days, One Night

9:00 PM, Oratorio dell'Annunziata, Via Don M. Foschi 6, Solarolo. A drama by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, starring Marion Cotillard, Fabrizio Rongione, Pili Groyne and Simon Caudry. Commentary by Carmelina Angela Fierro, Regional Equality Councillor for Emilia-Romagna.

Thursday 12 November – Mother & Footballer

9:00 PM, Cinema Moderno, Via Morini 24, Castel Bolognese. A documentary by Marta Busquets, featuring Irene Paredes, Amel Majri, Marta Corredera, Almut Schult and Alice Pignagnoli. Special guest: Alice Pignagnoli, the documentary's protagonist.

Friday 27 November – Il corpo della sposa

9:00 PM, Cinema Teatro, Corso G. Matteotti 26, Riolo Terme. A drama directed by Michela Occhipinti, starring Verida Beitta Ahmed Deiche, Amal Saad Bouh Oumar and Aichetou Abdallahi Najim. Special guest: director and activist Michela Occhipinti.
