“Domenico Baccarini and His Terracottas”: Special Exhibition at the Municipal Art Gallery
As part of Argillà Italia, on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September 2026, the Municipal Art Gallery of Faenza presents the special exhibition “Domenico Baccarini and His Terracottas”.
The exhibition brings together paintings by the celebrated artist from Faenza – a prominent figure in the Italian cultural scene of the early 20th century – with four exceptional terracotta masterpieces that are not normally on public display: Pensiero (Thought), the Busto della madre (Bust of the Artist’s Mother), the relief Interno familiare (Family Interior) and Bitta in piedi con Maria Teresa in braccio (Bitta Standing with Maria Teresa in Her Arms). Together, these works create a fascinating visual biography centred on the artist’s intimate and family relationships.
