Faenza in a Glass: Wine, Music and Tradition in the City Centre

On Saturday 10 October 2026, the historic centre of Faenza hosts the food and wine event “Faenza in un bicchiere”, dedicated to promoting the excellence of Romagna wines, live musical entertainment and local food offerings.

The event will feature 27 wineries selected from the hills and plains of Romagna, tasting stands with AIS Sommeliers, the “Albana Dèl” event, the themed conference “Wine Not?”, street food and musical performances by Kairòs a.p.s.

Conference “Wine Not? Young People, Territory and Wine”

Starting at 5:00 PM, the “Wine Not?” conference will take place at the Palazzo del Podestà (in the spaces set up for the retrospective exhibition celebrating 30 years of the weekly newspaper Settesere). The meeting will explore the relationship between younger generations, wine and the Faenza area.

  • Topics: Presentation of local youth and pop projects (Cena Itinerante at Torre di Oriolo, Cinema Divino, Lom a Merz, Faenza in un Bicchiere, the “Le Faentine” wine list, AIS training and initiatives by the Consorzio Vini di Romagna).
  • Opening and Closing: Institutional greetings from the Municipality of Faenza and Faenza C’entro; final toast led by AIS Sommeliers.

Live Music Programme

  • From 8:00 PM: Live concert by the Zaccherini Zaniboni Organs Trio (Matteo Zaccherini on piano/organ, Massimo Zaniboni on saxophone and Stefano Pasello on drums).
  • From 9:30 PM: Jam Session with special guests on the main stage.

  • AIS Guided Wine Tour (Cost: 5 tickets): Guided tasting experience led by an AIS Sommelier featuring 5 local wineries and wine excellences.

  • Bar Mero: Focaccia del Mero (filled with cold cuts and vegetarian options).
  • Voglia di Pizza: L’Aperitivo (piadina and cold cuts).
  • Corona: Pizza alla pala.
  • Rossini: Romagna-style cappelletti to go.

  • 19. Ferrucci (Castel Bolognese): Historic winery with labels such as Domus Caia, Squisito and Passito.
  • 20. Costa Archi (Castel Bolognese): Selection of Sangiovese, Trebbiano and Montùni by Gabriele Succi.
  • 21. Terre dei Calanchi (Faenza / Brisighella): New artisanal winery based in the Fideura area.
  • 22. Relais Mevigo (Casola Valsenio): Fine table wines.
  • 23. Il Teatro (Modigliana / Brisighella): Award-winning wines by Luca Monduzzi and Stefania Montanari.
  • 24. LU.VA. (Modigliana): A wine-growing expression of Modigliana’s three valleys.
  • 25. Le Lagune Terre Antiche (Marzeno): Trebbiano, Sangiovese and rosé wines from fossil-rich soils.
  • 26. Fattoria Zerbina (Marzeno): Renowned winery known for its passito Albana and Sangiovese selections by Maria Cristina Geminiani.
  • 27. Casa Merlo (Marzeno): Sangiovese, Trebbiano and artisanal vermouth by winemaker Alessia Nannini.
