From May 14 to 18, Solarolo welcomes you to the Ascension Festival.
The festival has ancient origins and celebrates the devotion to the Blessed Virgin of Health, who is carried in procession through the streets of the village, starting from the Sanctuary.
The five-day program includes shows, events, and markets for hobbyists and creatives throughout the squares and streets of the town center.
For children, the celebration continues at the funfair, with rides and plenty of entertainment among lights and colors.
The food experience is accompanied by live music and cultural events.
The day of May 17 is marked by the passage of the Giro d'Italia through Solarolo, and for the occasion the festival turns pink with the program Experience the Giro in Solarolo:
- Gymkhana for children aged 5 to 11
- Exhibition tournament Piccoli Calci
- Performance by the Gruppo Frustatori Cassani
- Exhibition of vintage bicycles and memorabilia from Solarolo’s cycling champions
- 9:00 PM – Basterd Jazz concert
