Clan Destino Faenza: the concert and live music program for May 2026

The month of May 2026 lights up the stage of Clan Destino in Faenza with a program full of international sounds, avant-garde psychedelia, punk, and folk influences from around the world. Here is the full calendar of live concerts not to be missed.

Thursday, May 7 – Scattered Purgatory (Taipei, Taiwan)

The exploration of the most interesting musical acts from Southeast Asia continues. Founded in 2013 by Lu Yang and Lu Jachi, Scattered Purgatory take their name from a Taoist ritual of soul regeneration. Their music is an original blend combining traditional Asian sounds with avant-garde psychedelia. Their latest studio work mixes downtempo beats with doom metal riffs and immersive sound design, creating a surreal tropical dark atmosphere. The band has toured worldwide and performed at the prestigious Le Guess Who? festival.

Friday, May 15 – GEZAN (Japan)

The explosive energy of GEZAN, a performance collective founded in Osaka and now based in Tokyo, arrives in Faenza. More than a traditional rock band, Gezan are activists deeply connected to the international scene. They perform as a flexible ensemble (from a quartet to a full orchestra), wearing masks and strictly red outfits. Their sound ranges from alternative rock and punk to improvised jazz and art rock. Their career includes an album produced by the legendary Steve Albini with contributions from Merzbow, as well as notable performances such as the Nyege Nyege Festival in Uganda.

Saturday, May 16 – MARIA VIOLENZA

Cristina Cusimano returns to the Clan Destino stage with her solo project Maria Violenza, following last year’s success with Irtumbanda. Originally from Sicily and now based in Rome, the artist performs with guitar and electronic samples, moving between cold synth punk and darkwave atmospheres. Her singing blends French, English, Italian, and Sicilian dialect, drawing inspiration from the storyteller and poet Rosa Balistreri in a live performance rich in contrasts, struggle, and resistance.
