A packed month of events at Palazzo Milzetti – National Museum of the Neoclassical Age in Romagna, with extraordinary evening openings, guided tours, talks and lectures, held alongside Argillà Italia, European Heritage Days and the exhibition “Presenze” by Alessandro Roma.
Friday 4 September – Argillà Italia
For Argillà Italia, admission to Palazzo Milzetti will be free for all visitors, as the date falls among the free-access days designated by the Ministry of Culture in connection with local special events. Besides the Palazzo’s rooms, visitors can see the solo exhibition by Alessandro Roma, “Presenze”, open until 11 October.

Saturday 5 September – Argillà Italia, evening opening and guided tour of “Presenze”
In collaboration with the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, Palazzo Milzetti hosts “Presenze”, a solo exhibition by Milan-based artist Alessandro Roma, marking a new step in his artistic journey spanning painting, ceramics, collage, sculpture and textile printing, with nature as a recurring theme in dialogue with the Palazzo’s neoclassical interiors.
- Extraordinary evening opening: 6:30 PM – 10:30 PM.
- 6:00 PM: guided tour of the exhibition led by curator Domenico Iaracà.
- Admission: free.
Sunday 6 September – Argillà Italia and #DomenicalMuseo
The monthly #DomenicalMuseo initiative returns, offering free admission at all state museums on the first Sunday of the month. Visitors can also see the exhibition “Presenze” by Alessandro Roma.

Saturday 12 September – “Mirabili Relazioni”: talk with Alessandro Roma and Irene Biolchini
A conversation between Alessandro Roma, artist and lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara, and Irene Biolchini, art critic, curator and lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts of Verona. An opportunity to explore ceramic art and its expressive possibilities in contemporary practice, starting from the works on display.

Thursday 17 September – “Mirabili Relazioni”: lecture on Felice Giani and Giuseppe Bossi
A lecture by Anna Torterolo titled “Unexpected Neoclassicism: Felice Giani and Giuseppe Bossi, ‘Adventurous’ Painters of a Great Era”, focused on two central figures of neoclassical painting.
