2026 European Week of Historic Cemeteries in Faenza
The Municipality of Faenza also takes part this year in the Week of Discovering European Cemeteries, the European Week of Historic Cemeteries promoted by the Association of Significant Cemeteries in Europe (ASCE), scheduled from May 22 to May 31, 2026.
The 2026 edition is dedicated to the theme Quality Education, with a focus on the role of historic cemeteries in the dissemination of culture, memory, and knowledge.
Monumental cemeteries are not only places of remembrance, but also true open-air museums and unique learning spaces, where art, history, and culture intertwine. They preserve the memory of those who helped build society and the values that still inspire it today.
Through the enhancement of historical and artistic heritage, these spaces contribute to building a more sustainable future, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 of the 2030 Agenda, dedicated to quality education.
Guided tour at the Osservanza Monumental Cemetery
As part of the initiatives promoted by the Municipality of Faenza, a free guided tour of the Osservanza Monumental Cemetery will take place on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
