“Raffaele Quida. Space – Force – Energy”: A Tribute to Carlo Zauli at the MCZ Summer Pavilion
As part of the events celebrating the Centenary of the Carlo Zauli Museum (MCZ), a new and significant exhibition opens at the Summer Pavilion. On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, starting at 7:00 PM, the museum will officially inaugurate the exhibition “Raffaele Quida. Space – Force – Energy”.
The exhibition is conceived as a tribute featuring works by Apulian artist Raffaele Quida dedicated to the renowned Faenza sculptor Carlo Zauli. The exhibition will be open to the public from Thursday, July 9 through Sunday, August 9, 2026.
The Exhibition Focus: A Dialogue of Space and Matter
The exhibition is curated by Luigi De Luca, Barbara Vincenzi, and Matteo Zauli.
- The concept: The exhibition explores a profound reflection on space as the essential condition for the birth of form.
- The dialogue: Raffaele Quida’s works emerge as tangible traces of gesture and energy impressed directly onto surfaces. Through this approach, his creations establish a powerful dialogue with the spatial and material dimension that has always defined Carlo Zauli’s sculptural research.
Opening Reception and Social Gathering
The opening event on Wednesday, July 8 at 7:00 PM will not only celebrate contemporary art but also provide an opportunity for visitors to enjoy an evening of conviviality.
Tasting Experience: During the opening reception, guests and art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to sample a selection of local wines from Podere La Berta, accompanied by specialties and artisan pasta from Antichi Calanchi.
