Palazzo Milzetti (Faenza): Events and Opening Schedule for July 2026

Palazzo Milzetti, home to the National Museum of the Neoclassical Age in Romagna in Faenza, presents its rich calendar of cultural events and special openings scheduled for July 2026. The program ranges from national Sunday museum initiatives to evocative evening guided tours exploring areas usually closed to the public.

July 2026 Event Calendar

️ Sunday, July 5, 2026 – #DOMENICALMUSEO

  • Opening hours: From 1:30 PM to 6:30 PM (last admission at 5:45 PM).
  • Admission fee: Completely free admission for all visitors, as part of the Ministry initiative involving all Italian state museums and archaeological sites.

Wednesday, July 15, 2026 – SUMMER EVENINGS AT PALAZZO MILZETTI

  • Overall schedule: Special evening opening extended from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
  • 9:00 PM – Themed Guided Tour: “Night at the Museum: Light and Darkness in the Palace Decorations”, led by the Museum Educational Services.
  • Tour focus: Under the soft evening atmosphere, visitors will be guided through the palace with their gaze turned toward its monumental decorated vaults. From the Temple of Apollo to the grand ballroom, passing through the elegant boudoir and the library, myths, celestial references, constellations, and allegories of the night inspired by the neoclassical heritage will be revealed.

Wednesday, July 29, 2026 – SUMMER EVENINGS AT PALAZZO MILZETTI

  • Overall schedule: Special evening opening extended from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
  • 9:00 PM – Themed Guided Tour: “The Steward’s Apartment”, led by the Museum Educational Services.
  • Tour focus: A unique opportunity to cross the threshold of a recently restored second-floor area, usually excluded from regular visitor routes because it is used as offices by the Regional Directorate. Visitors will admire 19th-century rooms connected to the figurative school of Felice Giani, with special attention given to the historic study room, which still preserves its original period furniture intact.

⚠️ Access to Summer Evenings: Admission to the evening guided tours requires a regular museum ticket (and is completely free for Carta Milzetti holders). Due to limited availability for group visits, advance booking is strongly recommended by email at mn-bo.pamilzetti-ra@cultura.gov.it or by phone at 0546 21015.
