“Building a Work within Nature”: The Land Art Workshop with Oscar Dominguez
The Torre di Oriolo Association presents an immersive artistic and environmental experience. On Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, the intensive workshop will be held, led by international artist Oscar Dominguez, a long-time leader in ecological and participatory art projects in the region.
The Workshop: Two Days of Co-creation and Plant Materials
The workshop is designed as a hands-on experience for anyone who wishes to observe the landscape in a new way and be part of a collective creative process. During the two days, participants will be guided in exploring Land Art as a practice of dialogue and observation of the territory.
The practical aim of the workshop is to design and build the supporting structures for a site-specific, semi-permanent organic installation. The artwork will be constructed entirely from recycled plant materials collected directly from the Romagna region and designed to blend in with the surrounding natural environment. Once the work is completed, the collective work will remain visible and open to the public until November 15, 2026.

Field activities will enable you to acquire practical and theoretical skills:
- Know how to interpret the surrounding natural landscape as an artistic and creative space.
- Learn how to use local natural materials and traditional weaving techniques.
- Design and shape organic structures created for a specific place (site-specific).
- Actively collaborate within a shared group artistic process.
- Transform the surrounding area into a profound aesthetic and relational experience.
Meals are included in the price: The workshop registration fee includes a traditional packed lunch for each day, prepared by the renowned local farm Rio del Sol.
