“Presenze”: Alessandro Roma’s Solo Exhibition at Palazzo Milzetti
As part of Argillà Italia 2026, the International Ceramics Festival, Palazzo Milzetti – National Museum of the Neoclassical Age in Romagna presents “Presences”, a solo exhibition by artist Alessandro Roma, organised in collaboration with the MIC (International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza).
Curated by Domenico Iaracà, the exhibition officially opens with an inauguration on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 5:00 pm. It will be open to the public from September 1 to October 11, 2026.
The Exhibition and Artistic Research
Born in Milan in 1977 and active both in Italy and internationally, Alessandro Roma has developed an artistic language that began with painting and has successfully expanded into ceramics, sculpture, collage and textile printing.
- Nature as a Unifying Theme: Nature enters the rooms of Palazzo Milzetti as a living, generative presence, creating an original dialogue with the palace’s stucco decorations, wall paintings and Neoclassical architecture.
- Outstanding Collaborations: The works on display are the result of collaborations between the artist and renowned ceramic workshops and artisan studios across Italy, including Faenza’s Bottega Gatti, Bottega Lega, Bottega Vignoli, Pantoù Ceramics and Elvira Keller, alongside Ceramiche Mazzotti (Albissola) and Ceramiche d’Arte Dolfi di Ivana Antonini (Montelupo).
