Processo a Elena, with Paola Fresa
On Saturday 23 January 2027, at 9:00 PM, Casa del Teatro in Faenza (Via Oberdan 7) presents “Processo a Elena” (Helen on Trial), written and performed by Paola Fresa, directed by Emiliano Bronzino, produced by Accademia Perduta/Romagna Teatri and Fondazione TRG.
Reversing the narrative device of Pirandello’s Six Characters in Search of an Author, a writer finds herself alone on stage, abandoned by her own character: Helen, the epic heroine who has come to embody beauty and desire. Forced to reconstruct her biography through the voices of those who knew her, the narrator turns the famous “trial of Helen” into a trial of womanhood itself, long a victim of prejudice.
