“Music & Spirit” Festival: the melodies of Don Gaetano Castiglia in concert in Faenza
The next event in the prestigious “Music & Spirit” festival, conceived and coordinated by the Gabriele Fattorini Music Association APS, offers a captivating blend of theology, timeless literature, and instrumental harmonies. On Saturday, June 20, 2026, starting at 9:00 PM, the splendid Church of the Most Holy Crucifix of the Capuchin Friars Minor in Faenza will host a concert of profound spiritual and artistic elevation.
The Program and Theme of the Concert
The event is a fascinating cultural exchange between ancient cornerstones of Italian literature and contemporary compositions. The musical program is entirely centered on the scores created by Don Gaetano Castiglia, a priest and musician from Trentino. The composer drew direct inspiration from the sacred and poetic texts of Saint Francis of Assisi and Dante Alighieri, creating melodies composed recently in memory and to honor the figure of the Poverello of Assisi, on the historic occasion of the eighth centenary of his death.
