SaxArts Festival 2026: Three Days of Music and Training Dedicated to the Saxophone
From Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September 2026, Faenza hosts the new edition of the SaxArts Festival, three days entirely dedicated to saxophone study, training and music, featuring group lessons, seminars, ensemble rehearsals and public performances.
Under the artistic direction of Marco Albonetti and the musical direction of Lev Pupis (professor at the Ljubljana Conservatory and the University of Graz), the festival brings together students and teachers from music schools, music high schools and conservatories across the area (Imola, Ravenna, Forlì, Lugo, Faenza and Trento).
Concerts Open to the Public
- Friday 25 September 2026 (9:00 PM): Concert by the Koinè Saxophone Quartet at the Ridotto of Teatro Masini in Faenza. The programme includes works by Florio, Peck, Zarvos, Romero and Girotto. Free admission.
- Sunday 27 September 2026 (4:00 PM): Concert by the SaxArt Ensemble with Lev Pupis (soloist and conductor) at the MIC – International Museum of Ceramics. The programme includes compositions by Milhaud, Zarvos, Girotto, Dvořák, Šostakovič, Soutullo and Geiss. Admission: €3.00.
