Palio Weeks at the Rione Rosso: Food, Wine, Shows, and Tradition in Faenza
June in Faenza means Palio, and the Rione Rosso reopens the doors of its splendid Courtyard for the most anticipated time of the year. From June 9th to 26th, every evening (with noted exceptions) the food stand will be open with a rich traditional Romagna à la carte menu: appetizers, fresh homemade pasta, grilled meats, piadina, and traditional desserts.
Entrance to the evenings is free without reservations, subject to availability. In case of inclement weather, the events and catering will move to the covered areas of the “”Baiocco””.
1. Bigorda Week (June 8th to 12th)
Days dedicated to young knights and the eve of the tournament:
- Monday, June 8 (8:30 PM) – Cantine nella Corte | Cantina Ferrucci: Exclusive fixed-menu dinner with guided wine tasting. Note: On this specific evening, the Romagna cuisine à la carte will be closed. Reservations required at +39 334 2423737.
- Tuesday, June 9 (9:30 PM) – Patatràc with Francesco Bentini: An evening of theatrical improvisation filled with laughter with actors Francesco Bentini and Max Mascagni, accompanied by the music of Silvia Valtieri.
- Wednesday, June 10 (9:00 PM) – Live nella Corte with Warmup: Acoustic concert that ranges from the 1950s to today, between jazz and pop, led by the voice of Giulia Elettra Neri and the piano of Lorenzo Leonardi.
- Thursday, June 11 (8:30 PM) – Karaoke Night: Fun and songs to sing along with with the “”Faith Karaoke Show””.
- Friday, June 12 (9:00 PM) – Bigorda d’Oro Propitiatory Dinner: The solemn Christmas Eve dinner to support the neighborhood ahead of the 27th Bigorda d’Oro Tournament in the internal courtyard. Reservations required.
2. Flag Week (June 15 to 19)
The central period of the month, where culinary tradition meets entertainment Interactive:
- Monday, June 15 (8:30 PM) – Cantine nella Corte | Cantina Leone Conti: Second appointment with the fixed-menu food and wine tasting in the internal courtyard. Reservations required at 334 2423737.
- Tuesday, June 16 (9:00 PM) – Live in the Courtyard with Alceste Neri: Atmospheric evening with ambient soundscapes created live with synthesizers and Fender Rhodes.
- Wednesday, June 17 (9:00 PM) – Quizzami Evening: The great team game with questions on general knowledge and skill; the prize is a trip for 4 people. Reservations Recommended.
- Thursday, June 18 (8:30 PM) – Karaoke Night: The enthralling stage of the “”Faith Karaoke Show”” returns.
3rd Palio Week (June 22nd to 27th)

- Wednesday, June 24 (9:00 PM) – Niballo Live: Debate and cultural insights open to the public with special guests to comment on June’s events.
- Thursday, June 25 (9:00 PM) – Filomè Tournament: The traditional card game so beloved by all the neighborhood residents.
- Friday, June 26 (11:00 PM) – After Party with Tommy from Riva: Big closing party with dance and DJ set to celebrate the neighborhood weeks.
- Saturday, June 27 (9:00 PM) – Propitiatory Dinner of the 69th Niballo Palio of Faenza: The majestic gala dinner set up directly on Via Campidori to pave the way for the next day’s joust. Reservations required.
