SERPENTI at Cinema Sarti Faenza
From 12 to 14 September, Cinema Sarti in Faenza screens «Serpenti», the new film directed by Roberto De Paolis, starring Leonardo Lidi, Alessandro Borghi, Pietro Castellitto and Valeria Golino.
This 2026 Italian production, running 88 minutes, tells the paradoxical story of Paolo Marra, a man who kills his wife for no apparent reason and decides to turn himself in to serve his sentence. Caught between distracted police officers, overzealous lawyers and surreal bureaucratic obstacles, he finds himself trapped in a Kafkaesque process that prevents him from actually being arrested, becoming the scapegoat of an indifferent, grotesque society.
A darkly absurdist drama that uses the grotesque to deliver a sharp and unsettling look at reality.
