“Chamotte Glazes”: Technical Demonstration with Master Giovanni Cimatti
On Saturday 5 September 2026, the “Chamotte Glazes” demonstration led by master ceramicist Giovanni Cimatti will take place at the Ceramic & Colours stand in Piazza del Popolo.
The session will explore the material and aesthetic possibilities of using granulated clay incorporated into ceramic glazes. Through this technique, ceramic surfaces lose their traditional glossy finish and take on a rocky, tactile and expressive appearance.
