Sotto il Segno di Muky – Ritratti e memorie nella casa dell’arte
On the occasion of the centenary of Muky’s birth, the exhibition presents a visual story in twelve photographs, accompanied by a historical testimony: the print of the Polaroid mosaic created by Maurizio Galimberti during the workshop organised by Muky in 1999.
The photographic journey, created by Pino Valgimigli, opens with the story of Francesca Provetti, then a model and now an accomplished painter, art teacher and event organiser, immersed in discovering Muky’s life.
In the following photographs, Francesca wears the hostess’s extravagant and iconic hats, moving through the spaces and symbolic elements of the Loggetta: the famous white ceramic plates, the old piano, played during breaks, and the elegant life-size mannequins that inhabited the rooms.
To complete this circle of memories, an intimate photograph portrays Muky and Francesca sitting together in conversation: a passing of the torch between generations of artists.
This exhibition is not merely a memory, but a continuation of that web of friendship, poetry and photography that Muky was able to weave around herself.
