“”STILLEVEN”” by Innokentiy Fateev: still life becomes silent life at the Torre di Oriolo

As part of the cultural event “ARTÈ – Rassegna d’arte in Torre””, part of the spring and summer program Vernissage BIOFILIA III, the evocative setting of the Torre di Oriolo in Faenza hosts the solo exhibition by artist Innokentiy Fateev entitled “STILLEVEN”.

The concept of the exhibition: the silent life of things

The exhibition brings together a series of refined compositions of flowers, fruit, and everyday objects. In Fateev’s works, the classic dramatic tension often associated with the still life genre gradually fades, until it dissolves and transforms into a vivid, tangible, and concrete presence.

Through a skillful use of light and color, the artist faithfully captures the images of our everyday life, restoring to the visible plane those details that often escape the frenzy of the modern gaze. The title of the exhibition itself refers to the Dutch term “Stilleven” (literally translated as “silent life”), a word chosen to evoke the profound sense of stillness, peace, and temporal suspension that characterizes the entire body of work on display.

The exhibition was officially opened on May 30th, coinciding with the traditional “Lucciolata,” the evocative nighttime walk among the fireflies on the hills of Oriolo dei Fichi.

The artistic project and institutional partners

ARTÈ is an exhibition project conceived and promoted by the Associazione Torre di Oriolo, curated for the current edition by Chiara Pausini. The exhibition was made possible thanks to the fundamental financial contribution of the Emilia-Romagna Region and boasts the institutional patronage of the Municipality of Faenza and the Unione della Romagna Faentina.

Dates, visiting hours and admission

The exhibition will remain open to the public until Sunday, June 28, 2026. In line with the Oriolo cultural center’s philosophy of dissemination, admission to the exhibition rooms is completely free.

  • Exhibition period: From May 30 to June 28, 2026.
  • Opening days: The exhibition is open on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), holidays, and in conjunction with all official events organized at the Torre.
