Sveglia Presto Running 2026: a fun, fitness-focused run and walk at dawn in Faenza
Sunday, July 12, 2026 marks the return of the “”Sveglia Presto Running“”, the picturesque non-competitive run and walk that takes place at first light. The event, organized by the running club Le Linci in collaboration with Pol. S. Lucia and UISP, combines outdoor sports with a moment of wellness and camaraderie.
The morning’s program: from Sun Salutation to breakfast
The event will be held at the ARCI club in Santa Lucia, Faenza, following a specific schedule to welcome the morning:
- 5:30 a.m. – Gathering and Pre-Start: The day begins at dawn with the traditional ‘Sun Salutation’, a preparation and warm-up session led by experts from the La Piccola India center (yoga and Ayurvedic naturopathy).
- 5:59 a.m. – Single Start: Official start for all participants, both runners and walkers.
- The Routes: Two alternative routes are available: 6 km and 9 km, suitable for all fitness levels, with a refreshment station set up halfway along the course. Please note that it is mandatory to obey traffic laws as the roads will be open to traffic.
- At the Finish Line: A hearty breakfast is included for all participants to recharge their energy.
For those who wish to start the experience the night before, there is the option to camp freely on the adjacent sports field the evening prior. Changing rooms are also available on-site for showers (mixed and basic facilities).
Registration and Prices
The event has a limited capacity of up to 200 participants, and online pre-registration is strongly recommended to secure dedicated services.
- Participation fee: €10.00 (includes breakfast and the official event souvenir). If more than 200 participants register, the souvenir and breakfast cannot be guaranteed.
- Children (up to 10 years old): Free admission (the fee does not include the souvenir).
