From Friday 11 September, Cinema Italia in Faenza presents «The Echo Chamber», the new drama directed by Andrea Pallaoro, starring Alicia Vikander, Susan Sarandon, Luca Marinelli, Ann Akin and Peter Coonan.
Shot entirely within a single apartment, this 2026 Italian production, running 120 minutes, follows Leo, a London-based music producer working on the comeback album of singer Ava, who had previously stepped away from the spotlight. Leo’s life is also marked by his relationship with Anne, a home-care nurse, as an increasingly ambiguous bond develops between them, further complicated by his growing dependence on the painkillers she prescribes.
An intimate, visually elegant work that delicately explores emotional fragility and dependency, ranking among the director’s most accomplished films to date.
