“The Insider”: Live Ceramic Coiling Performance in Piazza Nenni
On Friday 4 September 2026, in the setting of Piazza Nenni in Faenza, the Mosca Bianca team presents “The Insider”, an artistic and participatory performance.
The event features the live creation of a monumental ceramic sculpture using the traditional coiling technique. Throughout the day, the structure will gradually grow until it encloses a person inside. In the evening, the artwork will be broken from within in a theatrical action that transforms the construction process into the performance’s final act.
Programme and Audience Participation
- 10:00 am–9:00 pm – Participatory Construction: Visitors will be invited to actively contribute to the creation of the totem by making clay coils and helping the team build up the structure.
- 9:00–9:30 pm – Final Performance: A concluding theatrical action featuring the breaking of the totem from the inside.
