Banca Generali Un Campione per Amico: Sport takes to the streets in Faenza
Faenza is preparing to welcome the largest traveling sports event dedicated to the youth: “Banca Generali Un Campione per Amico”. After visiting major Italian cities, the 2026 tour will conclude right here in the Manfredi city, transforming the historic center into an open-air gym where primary school children can play alongside four legends of Italian sport.
The Four Champions
Young participants will have the unique opportunity to practice four different disciplines guided by exceptional masters:
- Adriano Panatta (Tennis): Global tennis icon, winner of Roland Garros and the Davis Cup.
- Andrea Lucchetta (Volleyball): Captain of the “generation of phenomena,” world champion, and today a beloved TV commentator.
- ⚽ Francesco “Ciccio” Graziani (Soccer): 1982 World Champion and historic striker for Torino and Roma.
- Martin Castrogiovanni (Rugby): Legend of the Italian national team and one of the most esteemed props internationally.
Beyond Sport: Values and Content
The event, sponsored by the Ministry of Education, CONI, and the Italian Paralympic Committee, is not just about fun but a true educational journey focused on three key areas:
- Nutrition: Raising awareness among youth about the benefits of a proper diet combined with sports practice.
- Financial Education: Introducing the concepts of saving and resource management in a playful way.
- Fight Against Bullying: Sport as a tool to release tension and promote social inclusion, teaching respect for opponents.
