June at Rione Giallo: food, wine, music, and major events in Faenza
The month of the Palio is in full swing, and the Rione Giallo is reopening the doors of its headquarters in Faenza to welcome locals, residents, and tourists. From June 8th to 26th, the kitchen will be open every evening to offer the most beloved traditional dishes and host a wide range of shows.
Dining hours and details: The kitchen is open every evening from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, while entertainment and shows begin at 9:00 PM. During all themed evenings, typical Romagna dishes will always be available, including handmade cappelletti and tortelli, all types of grilled meats, grilled vegetables, the Tower platter with cured meats and cheeses, a vegetarian platter, and homemade desserts. accompanied by a wide selection of local wines. The availability of stuffed Roman pinsa is also confirmed for the first two weeks (from June 8th to 19th).
1. Bigorda Week (From June 8th to 12th)
The first block of events leading the city towards the young knights’ tournament:
- Monday, June 8th: Spaghetti with seafood evening (available by reservation only).
- Tuesday, June 9th: Live music in the courtyard with the traveling event Faenza Rock nei Rioni.
- Wednesday, June 10th: Special gastronomic evening “A sea of mussels”” (by reservation only), accompanied by the Live music concert by the band UnoZeroQuattro – 104.
- Thursday, June 11: An evening of fun and singing with Karaoke by Piero Tamburini.
- Friday, June 12: The solemn Propitiatory Dinner at the 27th Bigorda d’Oro Tournament, open to all supporters with mandatory reservations.
2nd Flag Week (June 15 to 19)
Central days dedicated to culinary specialties and dynamic entertainment:
- Tuesday, June 16: Thai Evening with a themed menu (available by reservation only) and a performance acrobatic gymnastics by the ASD Diamante Torelli.
- Thursday, June 18: Second appointment with the Spaghetti allo Scoglio Evening (reservations required) combined with the great Dance Party with VJ-Lou.
- Friday, June 19: The musical event returns with Karaoke by Piero Tamburini.
3rd Palio Week (June 22nd to 27th)
The highlight of June with the introduction of the gran fritto di pesce to the menu:
- Monday, June 22nd: Culinary evening Paella & Sangria (available by reservation only) and an open dance floor for Caribbean Dances with Filippo Piccinini.
- Tuesday, June 23: Live music under the stars with a concert by The Violet Sin.
- Wednesday, June 24: Another evening of live music, with the band 7even Up taking the stage.
- Thursday, June 25: A repeat of the highly requested gastronomic evening “A Sea of Mussels” (available by reservation only).
- Friday, June 26: The grand finale of the neighborhood week with live music and entertainment by the band Mist.
- Saturday, June 27: The majestic Propitiatory dinner at the 69th Niballo Palio in Faenza, open to the public and local residents with required reservations.
