Discovering biodiversity through Biodiversity Friend®️ indexes and monitoring
A morning of hands-on experience in close contact with nature, guided by researchers from the World Biodiversity Association, together with Nicola Tormen and his team, to learn how to observe and measure biodiversity through the Biodiversity Friend®️ protocols.
The initiative combines field observation and scientific research within the territory of Faenza, deeply affected by the recent floods, where understanding ecosystems has become more important than ever.
For a few hours, Podere il Molinaccio will turn into an open-air laboratory, offering participants the opportunity to discover how natural environments react to extreme events and how biodiversity can be monitored and studied.
Podere il Molinaccio known as “e Mulnaz”
Included in the BiodiversyFest program
An experience open to everyone
The initiative is open to farmers, technicians, families, nature enthusiasts and anyone passionate about the environment.
The only requirement is curiosity.
During the event, participants will learn how environmental monitoring works, what elements to observe in the landscape and which tools can be used to evaluate the health of ecosystems.
️ Optional lunch
At the end of the experience, participants may have lunch at Agriturismo La Vezzana, located about 100 meters from the farm, by booking in advance with Milena to organize a shared table.
