Guided Tour “Masterpieces of the Museum” at MIC Faenza
On Friday 4 September 2026, the MIC – International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza offers a special guided tour featuring some of the most significant works in the world’s largest collection of ceramic art.
Visitors will embark on a one-hour journey through the history and artistry of ceramics, from the renowned Renaissance Julia Bela from Faenza and the glazed terracottas of the Della Robbia family to major names in 20th-century and contemporary art, including Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Gio Ponti, Lucio Fontana, Leoncillo and Carlo Zauli.
Highlights of the Tour
- Renaissance and Tradition: The Julia Bela, Italian istoriato ceramics and the celebrated white-and-blue works of the Della Robbia workshop.
- Great Masters of the 20th Century: Pablo Picasso’s “Four Seasons” vase and Marc Chagall’s “Amoureuse” plate.
- ✨ Design and Contemporary Art: Designs by Gio Ponti and sculptures by Lucio Fontana, Leoncillo Leonardi, Carlo Zauli, Giacinto Cerone, Giosetta Fioroni and Alfonso Leoni.
