Every year in Brisighella, the Medieval Festivals bring the town back to the heart of the Middle Ages with a unique event that involves history, art, and culture.
The historic center, the Rocca Manfrediana, the Clock Tower, and ancient streets come alive with over 90 artists, including musicians, dancers, armored performers, falconers, and costumed figures, offering shows, duels, tournaments, and historical reenactments.
The program includes medieval markets with artisans and themed workshops, streets animated by jesters, magicians, ancient games, historical lessons on weapons, tailoring, cooking, and goldsmithing; there are also medieval taverns offering traditional period dishes prepared according to ancient recipes. In the evening, the atmosphere intensifies: torchlight, fires, itinerant shows, and live music create an evocative charm under the stars.
The Medieval Festivals are also an opportunity to relive the past through history, not only as reenactment but as an immersive experience: witness camp life, military scenarios, guided tours, and theatrical performances. Participating means immersing yourself in history, feeling the rhythm of drums, breathing in ancient aromas, tasting traditional cuisine, and letting yourself be carried away by an atmosphere that unites community, culture, and folklore.
