Today, Tenuta Masselina spans 22 hectares, 16 of which are dedicated to vineyards, located on the hilly ridge between Imola and Faenza. We are in the Serra sub-zone of Romagna Sangiovese, at an altitude ranging from 50 to 200 meters above sea level.
This is a Romagna territory on the border with Emilia, where the vocations and traditions linked to Albana and Sangiovese meet typical Emilian vines and wines, such as Pignoletto.
Love and respect find concrete expression in the conversion to organic viticulture, which became definitive in 2019 as part of a 360° corporate sustainability project. Tenuta Masselina has a green soul: solar and geothermal energy are used to manage operations and for the climate control of the aging rooms. The old farmhouse and barn now house the Estate Museum, the Tasting Rooms, the winery boutique, and the aging cellars. These spaces were restored for their new function—events and wine hospitality—while meeting the highest standards of energy sustainability.
