The municipal library, dedicated to the local scholar Dr. Luigi Dal Pane, was founded in 1973. Since May 1999, it has been housed in the former municipal covered market at Piazzale Poggi n. 6. It covers a wide range of general interests with a focus on Italian and foreign literature, children's fiction, and local history. It actively promotes cultural activities and the enhancement of its collections.

The library holds over 60,000 documents.

Children's Section: over 7,000 volumes are available for young users, meeting needs from preschool age to 14 years. Literature promotion activities, guided tours on how to use the library, play-based initiatives, and book exhibitions are carried out continuously.

Local Section: this is a collection of over 7,000 volumes that is constantly updated. it includes several ancient and modern funds: the "Pietro Costa Fund" (over 500 volumes and 1,155 photographs), the "G. Bagnaresi Fund" (manuscripts on folkloric themes), the "Libero Santandrea Fund" (anarchist themes), the "Fortunata Santandrea Fund" (containing 18th and 19th-century almanacs), the "Domenico De Giovanni Musical Fund," the "Ubaldo Galli Fund" (1,000 volumes, mainly dialect poetry and theater), the "F. Martini Fund" (a Vatican prelate from Castel Bolognese), the "Francesco Serantini Fund," and the "Stefano Borghesi Fund" (5,000 documents) currently being cataloged.

Periodicals Room: consists of various current publications, including 6 daily newspapers.
