The Romagna you don’t expect, in a single pass
A SPASS is much more than a trip: it is a new, simple, and surprising way to experience Romagna.
An authentic, curious, and fun experience that takes you from the coast to the inland areas, among historic villages, panoramic fortresses, green valleys, natural parks, and local traditions. From June 3 to September 10, 2026, every Wednesday and Thursday, hop on board and let yourself be guided to discover a Romagna made of stories, flavors, nature, and encounters.
Each journey is designed to let you experience the area stress-free, with just the right mix of culture, relaxation, and fun.
On June 18, the journey begins with a visit to the Fortress of Riolo Terme, an impressive 14th-century structure closely linked to the figure of Caterina Sforza, a leading protagonist of Renaissance history. The route continues with the exploration of the Landscape Museum of the Faenza Apennines and participation in the "Caterina’s Herbs" workshop, an immersive experience blending ancient knowledge and traditions. Next, we reach Casola Valsenio, where the famous Herb Garden extends across approximately 4 hectares dedicated to the cultivation and preservation of local medicinal plants.
Following this, a cooking show and picnic will take place in the park of Il Cardello, the historic guesthouse of the ancient Benedictine Abbey, whose visit will allow you to admire its precious architecture and preserved artworks. The itinerary concludes in Castel Bolognese with the Scodellino Mill, an extraordinary testament to brick mills between the 14th and 15th centuries: an evocative place characterized by beautifully kept interiors and welcoming outdoor spaces, where it will be possible to enjoy a snack inspired by peasant traditions.
