The unexpected Romagna, in a single pass
A SPASS is much more than a trip: it is a new, simple, and surprising way to experience Romagna.
An authentic, curious, and fun experience that takes you from the coast to the inland areas, through historic villages, panoramic fortresses, green valleys, natural parks, and local traditions. From June 3 to September 10, 2026, every Wednesday and Thursday, hop on board and let yourself be guided to discover a Romagna made of stories, flavors, nature, and encounters.
Each journey is designed to let you experience the territory completely stress-free, with the perfect mix of culture, relaxation, and fun.
On July 23, the journey begins with a visit to the Fortress of Riolo Terme, an imposing 14th-century structure closely linked to Caterina Sforza, a leading figure of Renaissance history. The itinerary continues with the exploration of the Landscape Museum of the Faenza Apennines and participation in the "Caterina's Herbs" workshop, an immersive experience combining ancient knowledge and traditions. Next, the tour reaches Casola Valsenio, where the famous Herb Garden spans about 4 hectares dedicated to the cultivation and preservation of local medicinal plants.
Following this, a cooking show and picnic will take place in the park of Il Cardello, a historic guesthouse of the ancient Benedictine Abbey, whose visit will allow you to admire its precious architecture and preserved works. The itinerary concludes in Castel Bolognese with the Scodellino Mill, an extraordinary testament to 14th and 15th-century brick mills: a charming place featuring well-kept interiors and welcoming outdoor spaces, where you can enjoy a snack inspired by peasant traditions.
