Tanaccia Cave is a true geological masterpiece, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the "Karst and Caves in the Evaporites of the Northern Apennines" site.
The route will take you through spectacular and evocative underground chambers:
- The Sand Chamber: magnificent cave formations will welcome you along the way.
- The Collapse Hall: a majestic and impressive cavern.
- The Little Lake Chamber: a unique and fascinating setting.
- The Flat Chamber: formed by the spectacular separation of two gigantic gypsum blocks.
ℹ️ Useful Visitor Information
- Opening season: From April 1st to October 31st, every day, by reservation only.
- Difficulty: Moderate. Good mobility and agility are required to fully enjoy the experience, as the route includes easy climbing and descending sections, as well as short stretches where you will need to support yourself with your hands on the ground.
- Suitable for: The tour is designed for adults and children aged 6 and above.
- Requirements and limitations: Due to the characteristics of the underground route, the excursion is not recommended for people suffering from claustrophobia, heart conditions, severe asthma, or for pregnant women.
- Groups: Tours are available for groups of at least 5 participants (or a minimum total fee of €150.00).
