The Carlo Zauli Museum is a key reference point for contemporary art in Faenza. Born within the spaces of his workshop and studio, the exhibition space tells the story of the artist's work and oeuvre, conveying the atmosphere and cultural energy that have characterized him since 1949.
The Carlo Zauli collection unfolds across the museum's various rooms, along a path that narrates the different phases of the artist’s production, in constant evolution, from primitive-style ceramics to stoneware experiments, from majolica to interior decoration, in a process where the sculptural dimension increasingly becomes the key to transforming the material.
The museum also hosts a rich contemporary art collection, born from ongoing dialogue with cultural avant-gardes and young artists, both Italian and international, who revolve around the museum. Ceramics emerge as a tool for experimentation with new languages and forms, bridging traditional material into contemporary contexts.
Artist residencies, courses, exhibitions, conferences, and musical events enrich the activities of this artistic production center and promote contemporary art in Faenza, the city of ceramics.
