The rooms host an exhibition dedicated to the caves of the Vena del Gesso and the karst phenomena that make them so unique. On Sundays, a free guided tour of the Visitors’ Center introduces guests to the karst and gypsum caves of the area.
The Visitors’ Center is located inside the former Casa Cantoniera of Borgo Rivola, on the border with Casola Valsenio and close to the Grotta del Re Tiberio.
Within the building, hikers will find the comfortable Ostello Re Tiberio, a stop along the Via del Gesso, the Alta Via dei Parchi, the Cammino di Sant’Antonio, and the Via dei Gessi e dei Calanchi, as well as along the network of trails of the Vena del Gesso Romagnola Regional Park, a UNESCO site.
Opening hours
- Open from March 1 to October 31
- Sundays from 12:00 to 14:30. At 12:00 PM there is a free guided tour of the exhibition, by reservation.
Admission: free on public opening days.
Guided tours for groups outside opening hours are available by reservation.
