The Carné Loop: hiking trail in Brisighella through nature, geology, and unique panoramas
The Carné Loop is a hiking trail of approximately 5 km located in the municipality of Brisighella, perfect for those who love nature, wildlife, geology, and breathtaking landscapes.
The trail starts from the Ca' Carné Visitor Center, easily reachable via provincial road no. 23 del Monticino, which connects the center of Brisighella while passing through the famous three hills of the medieval village, with views of the Venetian Fortress and the Monticino Church.
This loop itinerary, easy in difficulty and taking about 3 hours to complete, allows you to explore the stunning Rontana Gessi, an area characterized by a complex geological structure with tectonic overlaps, faults, and unique karst phenomena such as dolines and candle-shaped erosive formations. The route offers an excellent opportunity to observe local wildlife and immerse yourself in pristine natural landscapes.
At the arrival point in Ca' Carné, there is the visitor center with a shelter, refreshment point, and overnight accommodation, ideal for a restorative break during the hike. Parking is available near the visitor center.
