The Artisanal Heart of Oriolo dei Fichi

Located on the picturesque hills of Oriolo dei Fichi, in Faenza, Ancarani Winery is the authentic expression of viticulture that prioritizes the unbreakable bond between people, the land, and identity.

Passionately led by Claudio and Ritar, the winery is a family-run estate that has dedicated itself for generations to highlighting the Romagna region, promoting a production that reflects nature, the specific vintage, and artisanal care.

The Terroir: The Soul of Oriolo dei Fichi

The estate’s vineyards are rooted in unique soil, characterized by Pleistocene-era yellow sands that grant the wines a distinct minerality and elegance. In this corner of Romagna, biodiversity is not just a concept, but a daily practice: indigenous grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Albana, Trebbiano, Famoso, and the rare Centesimino are cultivated with respect and dedication.

Production Philosophy: Identity and Authenticity

Ancarani Winery pursue a vision of "identity wines": honest, joyful, and deeply connected to their place of origin.
Every stage of production—from the hand-harvesting of the grapes to vinification in concrete and steel—is designed to minimize human intervention, enhancing the natural expression of the grape variety. The result is a selection of wines that tell a story: from the Sangiovese, crafted to accompany moments of conviviality, to the Albana, a symbol of local winemaking tradition, and the rediscovery of Centesimino, a true treasure of Faenza's biodiversity.

The winery's commitment extends beyond the vineyard, including the cultivation of the prized 'Cappelli' wheat, which is used to produce highly digestible, semi-whole grain pasta, representing a circular and sustainable agricultural economy.
