Cantina San Biagio Vecchio stems from the passion of Andrea and Lucia, who tend six hectares of land in the Faenza hills characterized by unique yellow sand and clay soils.
Their winemaking philosophy is rooted in deep respect for the land, eschewing herbicides and systemic treatments to promote biodiversity. In the cellar, their approach is intentionally low-intervention: spontaneous fermentation, minimal use of sulfites, and meticulous attention during racking allow for the creation of authentic, vital, and identity-driven wines, ranging from Sangiovese and Albana to the prized Centesimino.
Experiences and hospitality
The estate offers immersive experiences ranging from guided winery tours to walks through the vineyards at the suggestive Podere Terbato, a landmark for the recovery of the Centesimino grape.
In addition to reservation-based tasting tours, the winery welcomes visitors every Friday and Saturday evening for aperitifs in a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by jazz music and local culinary delights.
It is a place where nature meets hospitality, allowing guests to discover a panorama that stretches to the Adriatic Sea while sipping wines that capture the heart of Romagna.
