Every Saturday morning, the curtain rises not on a performance, but on history: the “Angelo Masini” Municipal Theatre welcomes visitors with guided tours dedicated to discovering its most fascinating spaces. It is the perfect opportunity to admire up close the beauty of one of the finest examples of Italian Neoclassical theatre architecture and to uncover its secrets.
Built between 1780 and 1787 to a design by the Faenza-born architect Giuseppe Pistocchi, the theatre still impresses today with the elegance of its lines and the stucco decorations by Antonio Trentanove, which embellish statues and bas-reliefs. An authentic cultural treasure chest that tells more than two centuries of music, performances, and civic life.
