Parentesi di Svago is an experience by the Tramonti House Museum designed to accompany visitors in the city even when they have little time available, are travelling for work or visiting with their family. Welcomed into the intimacy of the house where the artist lived and worked, visitors pause and engage in dialogue with knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming people who enrich the visit with anecdotes and information. From the house museum, reflections on the relationship between the Artist who created the artworks and the architect who designed their setting open up to the broader relationship between people and their territory, inevitably influencing one another. The experience then explores the surrounding environment, for a breath of nature or to extend Guerrino’s story in the places he frequented as a student, apprentice, craftsman, artist and master, with friends and loved ones, leading visitors to discover Faenza, one of the most beautiful art cities in Romagna and a world centre of ceramics for centuries, through an art history lesson guided by professionals known for their expertise and strong communication skills. The Guerrino Tramonti Museum Association APS is dedicated to cultural promotion and is based in what was once the home and studio of artist Guerrino Tramonti, now a House Museum open to the public. With the aim of offering an accessible tourist-cultural-artistic experience, it proposes a museum visit presented as a historical, creative and emotional narrative.
The biography and work of Guerrino Tramonti lend themselves to an in-depth exploration of local history and Italian culture: born in Faenza, he chose it as his lifelong home, while maintaining remarkable mobility—very modern for his time—travelling frequently to work and teach in many different cities, always returning enriched by these experiences. Parentesi di Svago represents exploratory cultural tourism, focused on the experience of discovering a place, its culture, history and art, and, like a journey, it enriches, connects and inspires. With the aim of extending visitors’ stay in the city, the experience can be expanded with itineraries highlighting local excellences, guided by historians and tour guides, through walking tours, cycling routes or sustainable transport to the places linked to Guerrino Tramonti, artists of his time and the area’s highlights.
