On Sunday, May 17th, the 9th stage of the Giro d'Italia passes through Solarolo.
An exciting breakaway between Cervia and Corno alle Scale, crossing the Romagna plains towards the Bolognese Apennines.
The streets turn pink to greet the passing athletes, and the town's roads come alive with side events that tell the story of our land's deep connection with cycling—a passion that ignites athletes and fans of every generation.
Solarolo is, in fact, the birthplace of great cyclists such as Davide Cassani, Fabiano Fontanelli, and the 1950s champion Pippo Minardi, all winners of several stages of the Giro.
