The Cooperativa Agricola Brisighellese is an organization born from the vision of a group of local farmers to enhance local olive production.
The Cooperativa Agricola Brisighellese was founded in the early 1960s by 16 local agricultural producers with the aim of promoting and adding value to local olive cultivation.
In the early 1970s, an olive mill was built and the first milling took place. As a testament to the constant growth that has characterized the cooperative's development over the years, there are now 300 member olive growers cultivating over 150,000 olive trees. This is a heritage of passion and knowledge passed down through generations for a millenary cultivation that requires care and attention, but rewards us with an excellence recognized worldwide: Brisighella oil. A precious oil resulting from the unique characteristics of this land, offering an extraordinary combination of flavor and health benefits.
The constant pursuit of quality and continuous focus on technological innovation are the cornerstones of the cooperative. It invests in refining the production process because oil quality is determined not only by the olives but also by the type of mill and its technological evolution over time. Process innovation and advanced technologies: in October 2018, a latest-generation mill was installed.
This intervention allows for increased productivity and higher quality standards for Brisighella Extra Virgin Olive Oil, while also highlighting the specific characteristics of indigenous productions. The result? A modern mill that makes the most of high-quality raw materials. This process introduces several innovations: a new research and experimentation protocol in collaboration with prestigious Italian universities, and the achievement of full traceability throughout all processing stages. All this is done with an eye toward eco-sustainability, from energy saving to the total reuse of by-products: an example of circular economy in the heart of Romagna.
