Costa Archi Winery was established in the early 1960s on the hills of Serra di Castel Bolognese, where founder Gian Battista Costa initially focused on Albana grapes.
Since 1995, his grandson Gabriele Succi has managed the "Il Beneficio" estate, shifting the focus towards artisanal excellence centered on red grapes.
On soils characterized by red and yellow calcareous clays, Gabriele cultivates 13 different Sangiovese clones, vinified through traditional methods: small 7.5 hl vats, manual punching down, long macerations, and spontaneous fermentations.
The winery’s philosophy rejects passing trends to pursue agile, profound, and honest wines that reflect the winemaker’s vision and the pure identity of the land.
Experiences and hospitality
The cellar, passionately created within the family’s former stable, is a family-run business that prioritizes hospitality and direct contact.
Tours and tastings are available by reservation, allowing guests to discover iconic labels such as Rinfosco, Assiolo, and the Il Beneficio reserve, as well as the authentic white wine made from Montù grapes, Le Barrosche.
To ensure the best possible experience, small groups are welcomed in an intimate atmosphere where the wine is served at the ideal temperature to tell the story of the vineyard work and the passion of a winemaker who has made integrated pest management and respect for nature his daily creed.
