The La Sabbiona winery is part of the wine-growing estates in the Oriolo dei Fichi area, a hilly location just a few kilometers from Faenza.
In the vineyard, we mainly cultivate the typical grape varieties of Romagna: Albana and Sangiovese, as well as some less common ancient native vines with characteristic aromas and flavors, such as Famoso and Centesimino. The care of the vineyard, the manual selection and harvesting of the best grapes, and vinification using the most modern technologies give life to DOC and IGT Romagna wines: sparkling wines, white wines, red wines, and dessert wines (passiti) suitable for pairing with traditional dishes and international recipes.
All production phases of the wines, from harvest to vinification and bottling, are directly overseen by the Altini family. They have made daily commitment, continuous training, and research in the vineyard and cellar—always respecting nature—the foundation of their work to bring authentic wines that reflect the territory's identity to the table.
